American entertainment news outlet Deadline reported on Monday that KPop Demon Hunters reached #1 on the U.S. weekend box office with US$19.2 million. The film made US$10.1 million on Saturday and US$9.1 million on Sunday.

Deadline added that the KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along Event played in 1,700 theaters and beat out Warner's summer mystery horror film Weapons and Disney's fantasy comedy Freakier Friday. Marvel Studio's Fantastic Four: First Steps and Universal Picture's Bad Guys 2 came in #4 and #5, respectively.
Cartoon Brew noted that although Netflix does not report box office tallies, industry analysts estimated it also earned another US$4-5 million in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Combined with the US$19.2 million domestic box office, it would have placed #4 on worldwide weekend box office.
Netflix then announced on Tuesday that KPop Demon Hunters is now its most streamed film of all time globally with 236,000,000 views (edging out Red Notice's 230,900,000) over 393,300,000 hours. It added 25.4 million views this past week alone.
Variety reports that four songs from the film's soundtrack ranked in the top 10 of the weekly Billboard Hot 100 songs chart simultaneously in the United States — a feat no other soundtrack has ever accomplished. The four songs are "Golden" repeating at #1, "Your Idol" repeating at #4, "Soda Pop" at #5, and “How It's Done” at #10. No soundtrack has even ranked three songs in the top 10 simultaneously since Saturday Night Fever in 1978.
KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 musical urban fantasy film directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans at Sony Pictures Animation. The film premiered on Netflix on June 20 and stars Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-yong Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Saniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Lee Byung-hun. KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along Event is a limited theatrical release of the film.
