Inu Yashu TV Series details

As previously reported (6/19/2000) a T.V. series adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's latest Manga, Inu Yasha, is being produced for release on TV in Japan this fall the series will air on Nihon and Yomiuri TV at 7pm on Mondays beginning August 16th.

Voice Actors:
Inu Yasha - Yamaguchi Kappei (Ranma Saotome in Ranma 1/2)
Kagome - Yukino Satsuki (Milly Thompson In Trigun)
Music:
Opening song will be performed by V6, the Ending theme will be performed by Dream.

Viz Communications has the North American Licensing rights for all of Rumiko Takahashi's Manga and Videos except Ursei Yatsura (Which is distributed by AnimEigo), including the Inu Yasha manga, so it is a reasonable assumption that Viz will pick up the rights to the Inu Yasha TV series sometime next year.
