On its latest podcast, Manga Entertainment has confirmed it has licensed the following anime titles:
- Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere S1 and S2 (DVD and Blu-Ray). Season 1 is due around July 1.
- Black Rock Shooter - Complete Series DVD, subtitles only, May 13.
- EUREKA SEVEN AO, planned for DVD and Blu-ray, release date unconfirmed, 'hopefully' by Summer.
- There will be a Complete Series Blu-ray release of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in June, as well as individual volumes of the episodes not previously released on Blu-ray, in April (Vol 3), May (Vol 4) and June (Vol 5, on the same day as the complete box-set). The individual volumes will have an SRP of £29.99 each, £5 less than the previously released volumes.
In the podcast, Jerome Mazandarani of Manga Entertainment said that a lot of previous 'barriers' in UK Blu-ray production had been removed. "We have a lower Minimum Order Quantity that we have to make on our first print (which is) really important, and our Blu-ray discs have come down considerably."
However, Mazandarani added that he did not think that either Casshern Sins or Xam'd: Lost Memories could be viably completed on Blu-ray, as the sales on their first volumes were too low, "a couple of hundred copies on each of those." He also noted that Manga Entertainment did not have permission to release 5 Centimeters Per Second on Blu-ray.
