Voice Actress Mai Kadowaki Has Healthy Baby Boy
Voice actress Mai Kadowaki announced on Sunday that she gave birth to her first child, a healthy 3,210-gram (about 7-pound, 1-ounce) boy. She added that it has been about seven and half months since they first confirmed the tiny heartbeats of the baby.
Kadowaki vowed to return to her normal daily routine and head back to work when she can. She aims to work hard as both a new mom and a voice actress.
Kadowaki revealed in August on the website for il sole penetra le illusioni ~ Day Break Illusion television anime that she was pregnant, when she explained why she could not attend a November 17 live event. She had announced in February that she had registered her marriage. She had been engaged, to a person outside the entertainment industry, since last year.
Mai Kadowaki played Illyasviel "Illya" von Einzbern in various anime in the Fate franchise. She also starred as Rororina "Rorona" Fryxell in the Atelier games. Her other roles include Kōmei Shokatsuryō in Ikki Tousen, Sanya V. Litvyak in Strike Witches, Mayu Tsukimura in Goshūshō-sama Ninomiya-kun, Mimi Usa in Kodomo no Jikan, Risa Kamizaki and Keiko Tanaka in Amagami SS, and Isara Aomi in Love, Election & Chocolate.
