Hot springs episode to bundle with first DVD/Blu-ray

Several television commercials aired in the past week featuring clips from the upcoming Engaged to the Unidentified OVA, which will bundle with the first volume of the show's first DVD and Blu-ray Disc release in Japan. The "Mite. Are ga Watashi-tachi no Tomatteiru Ryokan yo." (Look. That is the Japanese Inn Where We Are Staying.) short will be approximately 12-minutes long.

In the first ad, Benio says the new OVA will take place at a hot spring, and daydreams that Mashiro and Kobeni offer to wash her back, etc, to Nadeshiko, who hangs up on her. In the second ad, Mashiro asks if they're not in Benio's dream world and Kobeni says that Benio's thoughts have become reality. Benio exclaims that it's a hot springs episode, and it's not a dream. The following ads confirm the details of the release, as well as announce a live event in June.

The first of six total home video releases will ship on March 19. The release will also include a music video for the "Tomadoi→Recipe" song, as well as a character song CD and a collection of four-panel illustrations of next episode previews.

The show centers on first-year high school student Kobeni Yonomori. On her 16th birthday, a young man with little presence named Hakuya Mitsumine and his little sister Mashiro suddenly appear in front of her. It turns out that Hakuya is her fiancé, and Mashiro is her future sister-in-law. The three (and Konbeni's big sister Benio) start living together underneath the same roof, and hilarious happenings occur.

Yoshiyuki Fujiwara (GJ Club) is directing the series off of scripts by Fumihiko Shimo (Air, Clannad). Ai Kikuchi (Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin, Iron Man) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Dogakobo is animating the series.

The series premiered on January 8 on Japan's ABC station. Crunchyroll is streaming the show as it airs and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series.
