Winter fighting game boasts over 85 characters in New World setting
Bandai Namco Games debuted the first promotional video for its Nintendo 3DS "traditional" fighting game One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X (One Piece: Chō Grand Battle! X) on Wednesday.
The video begins by giving a history of some One Piece fighting video games: The One Piece: Grand Battle! series, the One Piece: GIGANT Battle! series. The narrator then announces that "the curtain is finally raising on the biggest One Piece dream battle in history." The video teases that over 85 One Piece characters will be playable with the New World as the backdrop, including Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew, as well as Donquixote Doflamingo, Shanks, and Trafalgar Law.
The game will debut in Japan this winter.
