M&C! to Publish Solanin Manga on December 30

Do You Believe In Love, More Than Love manga also slated for December 30

Indonesian publisher M&C! revealed on Tuesday that it will release Inio Asano's Solanin manga on December 30. M&C! previously announced that it had licensed the manga in October.

The publisher also revealed that it has licensed Kiyoko Arai's Do You Believe In Love (Anata wa Ai o Shinjimasu ka?) manga and Makino's More Than Love (Suki Yori mo Chikaku) manga.

Inio Asano's Solanin manga centers around Meiko and Taneda, a couple who graduated from college two years ago, with no real goals. While both are employed, both feel something lacking in their lives. Taneda decides to take his band seriously and promote his music. Meiko quits her job, while Taneda decides to write his first real song. When tragedy strikes, their new directionless life will take an unexpected turn.

Asano launched the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Young Sunday Magazine in 2005, where it ran until 2006. Shogakukan published both compiled book volumes of the manga in Japan. The manga inspired a live-action film in 2010.

Arai's Do You Believe In Love manga centers on Hinata Motoaki, a 32-year-old woman who is not married, but nevertheless manages her mother's marriage counseling service. She has high and unrealistic expectations for men, which leads her to conclude that it is the reason for her not getting married. In truth, she made a promise to marry someone when she was 17 years old, but she had fallen out of touch with the person over the years, until she meets him again.

Arai launched the manga in Shogakukan's Anekei Petit Comic magazine in 2013. Shogakukan released the manga's second compiled book volume in December 2014. M&C! will publish the manga's first volume on December 30.

Makino's (Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante ni Naranai) Suki Yori mo Chikaku manga is set in Matsuyama City in Ehime prefecture, and it centers on a first-year high school girl named Kiyomi, who lives alone due to her parents constantly being away on business. One day, a handsome man moves into the apartment unit right next to hers, and she accidentally sees him naked. To make matters worse, the man is actually her new homeroom teacher.

Makino launched the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine in 2012, and ended it in 2013. Kodansha published the manga's second compiled book volume in Japan in August 2013. M&C! will publish the manga's first volume on December 30.
