Latest Gundam arcade game arrives in Japan on March 9

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a promotional video on Friday for its upcoming arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON. The company also began streaming the game's opening video on Friday.

Both videos preview the game's opening theme song "NO FUTURE (Prototype ver.)" by SiM.

The game will feature 160 mobile suits, including the Gundam Barbatos (pictured at right, upper image) and its pilot Mikazuki Augus from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans television anime series, as well as G-Self (pictured at right, lower image) and its pilot Bellri Zenam from the Gundam Reconguista in G series.

The game will include a renewed EX Burst system featuring three types of EX Burst attacks: fighting burst, shooting burst, and extend burst. The game will also include the new stage Capital Territory, as well as a new final boss. Versus Conquest mode will reappear with changes to its urgent operations and reward system.

The game will also include an online multiplayer mode, allowing players to fight one on one with other players or pair up for team battles, as well as online events. Additionally, players will be able to transfer their customized items from Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost.

The accompanying Gundam Vs. Mobile smartphone app will allow players to keep track of their online ranking and earn rewards by clearing challenge missions.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON will be available in Japan beginning on March 9. The arcade game is a sequel to Bandai Namco Entertainment's Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost arcade game, which debuted in March 2014.
