Anime adaptation of mobile game to launch new arc this spring

The staff of the net anime of mixi's Monster Strike mobile action role-playing game announced at a talk event at Anime Japan 2016 on Sunday that Daisuke Ono will join the cast as Haruma Kagutsuchi when the series enters its new arc this spring.

The first two episodes of the anime began streaming on YouTube in Japan on October 10, and they streamed with English subtitles starting on the same day. XFlag Studio then launched a different YouTube channel for the English subtitled version on October 13.

Each episode in the series is around seven minutes in length.

The anime is based on mixi's mobile game, which mixi describes as:

Slingshot monsters and watch as they bounce around like pinballs, destroying enemies in their wake. Play with up to three other friends in this co-op action RPG. Become a master and collect over 1,000 unique and powerful monsters — staking your claim as the best Striker around!
