Shiori Tomita performs ending theme for July 4 anime

The official website of Studio Pierrot's television anime adaptation of the Puzzle & Dragons X ("Pazudora Cross") Nintendo 3DS puzzle role-playing game revealed on Sunday that the band UVERworld will perform the anime's opening theme song. UVERworld previously performed the first opening theme song for The Heroic Legend of Arslan anime, and has also performed theme songs for anime such as Bleach, D.Gray-man, Blood+, Blue Exorcist, and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season, among others.

The anime will premiere on July 4 on TV Tokyo, and will air on Mondays at 6:25 p.m. Shiori Tomita will perform the anime's ending theme song. The staff of the anime has also revealed a new key visual for the show:

The Puzzle & Dragons X game is slated to ship in Japan on July 28 in two versions: "Kami no Shō" (God Chapter) and "Ryū no Shō" (Dragon Chapter). The game will feature a theme of "evolution" and will also feature cooperative play with friends in a cross battle. First editions of each of the game's two versions will include an Armor Drop and a touchpen.

The game has also inspired an ongoing manga adaptation by Momota Inoue (Puzzle and Dragons Z) that debuted in Coro Coro Comics magazine's May issue. Takara Tomy is also releasing "Armor Drop" and "D-Gear" toys for the franchise this summer.
