Magazine will still publish 2 months' worth of manga content in every issue

The October issue of Akita Shoten's Princess Gold Magazine (cover shown right) announced on Tuesday that beginning with the current issue, it will ship every other month, instead of every month. It will ship on the 16th of every even-numbered month. In addition, Akita Shoten's website for the magazine will feature last month's magazine on the 16th of every odd-numbered month. The magazine assures readers that, while the magazine will go bimonthly, the magazine will publish two months' worth of manga content with every issue. The next issue will ship on October 16.

Akita Shoten launched the magazine in 1979. The magazine published nine issues every year (with March-April, July-August, and November-December as combined issues), but in 2010, the magazine switched to a monthly format. The magazine has hosted stories from the likes of Yasuko Aoike and Seika Nakayama. The magazine specializes in one-shot manga or short stories, but has also hosted long-running series as well, such as Aoike's From Eroica with Love, You Higuri's Cantarella, Ryoko Shitou's Bud Boy and Yajikita Gakuen Dōchūki II (a sequel to a manga Shitou began in Akita Shoten's Bonita Comics magazine).
