Characters from original Gundam series reappear in 4th episode

The Gundam.info portal site revealed new character visuals on Thursday for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin IV: Unmei no Zenya (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin IV Eve of Destiny), the fourth episode of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime.

Amuro Ray

Fraw Bow

Hayato Kobayashi

Kai Shiden

The series already featured an appearance by a younger Amuro Ray in an earlier episode.

The site previously streamed an English-dubbed trailer last week.

The anime will debut on November 19 in Japan.

The current Char/Sayla arc of the anime will end with the fourth episode. The episode will feature Char's "fateful encounter" with the girl Lalah sune, the first Gundam anime's protagonist Amuro Ray, and "the legendary Dr. Minovsky" (whose physics breakthroughs eventually led to mobile suit warfare). The episode will also cover the development of the MS-04 and the RX-78 Gundam mobile suits, as well as the first ever mobile suit battle in history. Hiroko Moriguchi will perform the episode's theme song "Sora no Kanata de" (Beyond the Sky).

After the fourth episode the anime will enter the Loum Arc that will cover the Battle of Loum.

The third episode began screening in 15 theaters in Japan for two weeks on May 21. The original video anime's first episode, titled "Blue-Eyed Casval," premiered in a limited engagement in Japanese theaters in February 2015. The second episode, "Artesia's Sorrow," opened in Japan in October 2015.

Anime Consortium Japan is releasing the series digitally worldwide through a premium rental streaming program, and Right Stuf — in collaboration with Sunrise — is releasing the series on home video.

The anime project adapts Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's manga of the same name, which in turn is inspired by the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime's story.
