Shueisha's V Jump magazine began streaming the first promotional video on Friday for Furyu Corporation's The Alliance Alive Nintendo 3DS game. The game is slated for release in spring 2017.

The game is described as an "ensemble RPG" and a "simple RPG with multiple protagonists in a cruel world," with the tagline "Even if the world is ripped by dark chaos, the alliance between people is alive."

The story's nine protagonists include:

  • Tiggy, the self-proclaimed genius professor
  • Viviana, the noble daughter of a demon
  • Ignace, Viviana's butler
  • Galil, a boy from the resistance
  • Ursula, Galil's childhood friend
  • Rachel, a guild mercenary
  • Barbarosa, a spirit warrior
  • Gene, a well-versed practitioner
  • Renzo, an information broker

The story is set in a land ruled by demons, divided by the effects of a "distortion." The story will feature many cruel "worlds," including the "World of Rain" and the "World of Fire." The World of Rain is a world that has long ago lost its blue sky due to an unceasing rain, and contains scattered settlements and ancient ruins. The World of Fire is a scorched land built atop a once active volcano, and is surrounded by a hard wall. The story will connect the tales of nine protagonists, and the game will switch between them as the story progresses to offer differing points of view and perspectives on the conflict.

Masataka Matsuura is directing and producing the game. Ryō Hirao is the character designer, Yoshitaka Murayama is writing the scenario, Kyoji Koizumi is in charge of game design, and Masashi Hamauzu is composing the music.

The game's standard package edition and download edition retail for 6,280 yen (about US$60). Those who pre-order the game from various retailers can get special bonuses such as postcards (from Amazon Japan), a clear file (from GAO), a B2-size tapestry (from Sofmap), a tumbler and coaster set (from WonderGOO), or a PC wallpaper (from Joshin).
