Elex Media Licenses Neon Dimension Ascension, Misoshiru de Kanpai! Manga

Indonesian publisher Elex Media announced on Friday that it has licensed Mizuki Watanabe's Neon Dimension Ascension (Shinjigen Ascension) and Sai Sasano's Misoshiru de Kanpai! (Cheers for Miso Soup) manga. The company will begin releasing both manga on May 3.
Neon Dimension Ascension is set in 2012. In the Kanagawa prefecture in Japan, a certain CD called "Trigger" is becoming popular among teenagers due to its supposed calming effects when listening to it. But one after another, the people who have listened to Trigger start exhibiting peculiar behavior. The protagonist Chitose Amami is searching for a friend who listened to Trigger and disappeared.
Watanabe launched the manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine in 2012, and ended it in 2014. Kadokawa published three compiled book volumes for the manga.
Misoshiru de Kanpai! centers on Zen and Yae, two middle school students who are childhood best friends. Zen grew up without a mother, and eats rice balls and instant miso soup every morning. Yae takes pity on him and takes it upon herself to cook him breakfast.
Sasano launched the manga in Shogakukan's Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine in 2015 as a short serialization manga, and then re-launched it as a full serialization in February 2016. Shogakukan published the manga's third compiled book volume on April 12.
