Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 Game's 2nd Promo Video Previews Job Classes

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Atlus, Spike Chunsoft game ships for 3DS in Japan on August 31

Atlus began streaming the second promotional video on Saturday for it and Spike Chunsoft's Sekaiju to Fushigi no Dungeon 2 (Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2) Nintendo 3DS game. The video introduces the town of Ovelfei, where adventurers gather to start their travels. The video also introduces some of the job classes and the new sub-class system.

The game will have 15 job classes to choose from, including fencer, pirate, alchemist, monk, and farmer. The game arrives in Japan on August 31. First-pressing limited editions of the game will include a 200-page character art collection book and a limited design box. The limited edition retails for 9,800 yen (about US$88), and the standard edition retails for 6,400 yen (about US$57). The first edition of the game will include two bonus CDs.

Atlus released the original Etrian Mystery Dungeon game in Japan on March 5, 2015 and Atlus USA released it on April 7, 2015 in North America.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon is a crossover between the Mystery Dungeon series and the Etrian Odyssey series. Like the Mystery Dungeon game series, the first Etrian Mystery Dungeon features a new random map each time a player enters a dungeon. Players explore with a party of up to four chosen from ten different Etrian Odyssey class types. Exploration is in the third-person perspective, unlike the Etrian Odyssey first-person, and players must control their party group.
