5th Digimon Adventure tri Anime Film's Teaser Reveals September 30 Debut

Digimon Adventure tri. Kyōsei is 5th of 6 planned films

The official website for the Digimon Adventure tri. film project began streaming a teaser video on Thursday for Digimon Adventure tri. Kyōsei (Union or Symbiosis), the fifth film in the series. The video reveals the film's September 30 opening date in Japan. (Note: The Youtube video in the link above is region-locked to Japan.)

The fourth film, Digimon Adventure tri. Part 4: Loss (Digimon Adventure tri. Sōshitsu), screened in Japan for three weeks starting on February 25. The film's home video Blu-ray Disc and DVD shipped in Japan on April 4. Crunchyroll is streaming the film in some countries outside of Japan.

Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 1: Reunion opened in November 2015, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 2: Determination opened in March 2016, and Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 3: Confession opened last September. Crunchyroll began streaming all three films on the same day that they premiered in Japan.

The project, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure (the first entry in the television anime series), will have a total of six films. The first film received a theatrical release in the United States in September 2016 with an English dub that features new and returning cast members.

Shout! Factory has licensed the first three films for home video, with the second film slated for an August 15 release on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.

A stage play based on the films will run in Japan beginning in August. The stage plays will tell a side story centered on the eight DigiDestined.
