The official website for the television anime of Sakuya Amano's Konohana Kitan manga revealed the first promotional video, a new key visual, and the October premiere for the anime on Monday.
The anime will premiere on AT-X, TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS11 in October.
The cast, from left to right in the image above, includes:
- Ayaka Suwa as Natsume
- Risa Kubota as Ren
- Manami Numakura as Kiri
- Ai Kakuma as Sakura
- Yūko Ōno as Yuzu
- Sawako Hata as Satsuki
Hideki Okamoto (Nagasarete Airantou, Nana to Kaoru, D.C. II: Da Capo II) is directing the series at Lerche. Takao Yoshioka (WATAMOTE, Ikki Tousen, Elfen Lied) is handling the series composition, and Keiko Kurosawa (Scum's Wish, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) is the character designer.
The manga originates from Amano's earlier Konohana-tei Kitan manga, which launched in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S magazine in 2009. Amano put the manga on hiatus in 2010. Four years later, Amano relaunched the manga with the new Konohana Kitan title in Gentosha's Comic Birz. Gentosha published the manga's fifth volume on March 24.
Amano also drew the manga adaptation of Kazuki Sakuraba's Gosick light novel series, which debuted in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2008, and ended in 2012 with eight volumes. Amano launched the Doubt! manga in Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh magazine in 2012, and ended it in 2014 with four volumes.
