The fourth compiled book volume of Masaki Andō's Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki (Yatogame-chan Observation Diary) four-panel manga revealed on Saturday that an anime project for the series is advancing.

The manga centers on the life of Yatogame-chan, a girl who speaks in the blunt Nagoya dialect. The series highlights regional cultural differences from the area of Nagoya, Aichi.

Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex magazine publishes the manga. The series has more than 200,000 copies in circulation, including digital copies. The manga's title character was appointed as Nagoya Tourism Cultural Exchange Mission Ambassador in March 2017.
