Indonesian publisher M&C! announced last Thursday that it has licensed Atsunori Horiuchi's Kono Ken ga Tsuki o Kiru (This Sword Shall Cut the Moon) manga.

The manga centers on the young Okita Sōjirō, the boy who would one day become the Shinsengumi captain Okita Sōji. The story begins when he is nine years old, when he begins his training at the Shieikan dojo alongside senior student Shimazaki Katsuta, the future Shinesengumi commander Kondō Isami.

Horiuchi launched the manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in June 2016, and ended it in December of the same year. Kodansha published the manga's third and final compiled book volume in January 2017.
