Senran Kagura Anime's 2nd Season Reveals Video, Visual, Staff, October Premiere

An official website for the second season of the Senran Kagura television anime series opened on Thursday and began streaming the first promotional video. The season, titled Senran Kagura Shinovi Master -Tokyo Yōma-hen-, will premiere in October on AT-X. The video previews the opening theme song "Scarlet Master" performed by Sayaka Sasaki, who also performed the first season's opening song.
The website also revealed a teaser visual that shows Yumi (voice by Yumi Hara) and Fubuki (voiced by Kana Asumi).
The anime's cast members are reprising their roles from the game series and previous anime.
Tetsuya Yanagisawa (High School DxD, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire) is directing the anime at TNK (Doreiku The Animation, High School DxD BorN). Yukinori Kitajima (BBK/BRNK, Brynhildr in the Darkness), who provided the original story for the first television anime, is returning to handle series composition and the script. Junji Goto (School Days, High School DxD BorN) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director with Tsutomu Miyazawa (Samurai Bride, Soul Buster). Series producer Kenichirō Takaki is returning as "bakunyū producer" (large breast producer), and Keisuke Kawai (High School DxD BorN, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire production producer) is animation producer.

The "Senran Kagura Series New Work Presentation" livestream event revealed information about the new season on Thursday after Marvelous and Honey∞Parade Games announced the second season in August 2017.
The Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash! television anime premiered in 2013, followed by the Senran Kagura: Estival Versus - Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits original video anime (OVA) in 2015. Funimation streamed the television series as it aired in Japan, and released the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
Marvelous established a new subsidiary called Honey∞Parade Games in May 2017 to focus on the production and promotion of the Senran Kagura series. Series producer Kenichirō Takaki heads the subsidiary.
