CHAINSAW MAN – THE MOVIE: REZE ARC IN THEATERS NOW FROM SONY PICTURES

NEW YORK, NY (October 24, 2025) –
Continuing his whirlwind year, history-making J-pop phenom KENSHI YONEZU today announces an exclusive vinyl edition featuring his record-breaking opening and ending themes to CHAINSAW MAN – THE MOVIE: REZE ARC. Available to preorder now, the album features “IRIS OUT,” the first-ever Japanese song to reach the top 5 of Billboard's Global 200 chart, as well as “JANE DOE,” his powerful collaboration with J-pop icon HIKARU UTADA. Also included on the vinyl and available digitally now are three remixes to his Chainsaw Man series opening theme “KICK BACK” by pioneering producers HUDSON MOHAWKE, FROST CHILDREN and TOMGGG. Pressed on single black 45 RPM vinyl, IRIS OUT / JANE DOE is housed in a sleek single-pocket jacket with a fold-out insert featuring an illustration by Yonezu himself, making it a must-have for collectors and fans of Yonezu's bold, genre-defying sound. Today's vinyl preorder arrives alongside the US theatrical debut of CHAINSAW MAN – THE MOVIE: REZE ARC, which is now available in theaters nationwide from Sony Pictures.

Of his history-making year and successful collaborations with the CHAINSAW MAN franchise, KENSHI YONEZU comments: “My compass for music production this year was to approach pop music from the very beginning and reengage with it. This, it seems, is the result of that resolve, but the way and the speed with which it manifested itself has taken me by surprise. None of this would have come together without the wonderful manga, CHAINSAW MAN. I am so truly grateful.”

Released in 2022, Yonezu's chart-topping opening theme to the CHAINSAW MAN anime series “KICK BACK” recently made history as the first-ever Japanese language song to reach RIAA Platinum status. Available digitally now and featured on the upcoming vinyl release are three new remixes of the track from legendary Scottish DJ HUDSON MOHAWKE, New York-based duo FROST CHILDREN and Japanese producer TOMGGG, who each put their unique creative spin on the infectiously upbeat track. Meanwhile “IRIS OUT,” his opening theme to the CHAINSAW MAN film, officially surpassed 100 million streams in just four weeks, the fastest-ever record to be set in Japan. Globally, it rocketed to the Top 5 of the Billboard Global 200 chart, also becoming the highest-ever charting position for a Japanese language song for two consequence weeks. The film's closing theme and a landmark collaboration between two of Japan's most visionary artists, “JANE DOE” featuring HIKARU UTADA also entered the Top 10 on Billboard's Global Excl. US chart alongside “IRIS OUT,” becoming the first-ever time a Japanese artist has had two songs simultaneously within the Top 10 on the chart.
