SNK announced on Thursday that its SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy fighting game is adding a gender-bent version of the character Skullo Mania from Arika's Fighting Ex Layer fighting game. NIS America streamed a video for the character on Thursday. The character will launch in the game on October 11 as DLC.
NIS America describes the character:
Skullo Mania is your local hero to save us all! In his normal life he recently found employment as a productive salaryman with his pet dog, pochiro. However, he has been troubled recently by the fact that he has been missing pockets of his memory where he turns into the masked fighter, Skullo Mania. With these mixed feeling he has also discovered new powers within himself. What is to become of our masked hero?!
The game shipped for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 6. NIS America partnered with SNK to release the game on both consoles in North America and Europe on September 7.
The game has previously added Thief Arthur from Square Enix's Million Arthur: Arcana Blood arcade game as the first DLC character on September 13.
The two-on-two tag-team fighting game features characters from the SNK universe, including Athena Asamiya, Kula Diamond, Leona Heidern, Mai Shiranui, Yuri Sakazaki, Nakoruru, Sylvie, Zarina, Love Heart, Luong, Mian, Mui Mui, and a female Terry Bogard. The game also includes special Dream Finish techniques and character customization with up to 100 accessories.
