The official website for the television anime of Masaki Andō's Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki (Yatogame-chan Observation Diary) four-panel manga revealed additional cast members and staff for the anime on Tuesday. Yūki Wakai and Mikako Komatsu join the cast as Mai Tadakusa (left in picture below) and Yanna Sasatsu (right), respectively. As previously announced, Haruka Tomatsu will play the protagonist Monaka Yatogame (center) in the anime.

The staff also unveiled the rough character designs for the characters (from top to bottom below) Monaka Yatogame, Mai Tadakusa, Yanna Sasatsu, and Kaito Jin.

Satsuki Hayasaka (Hinako Note, High School DxD Hero episode animation director) joins the staff as the character designer. Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Miss Bernard said., Netsuzou Trap -NTR-, Jingai-san no Yome) is the chief director for the anime at Saetta, with Creators in Pack credited for animation production cooperation.

The manga centers on the life of Yatogame-chan, a girl who speaks in the blunt Nagoya dialect. The series highlights regional cultural differences from the area of Nagoya, Aichi.

The anime will premiere on TV Aichi, Tokyo MX and other channels this spring.

Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex magazine publishes the manga. Ichijinsha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume last November. The series has more than 200,000 copies in circulation, including digital copies. The manga's title character was appointed as Nagoya Tourism Cultural Exchange Mission Ambassador in March 2017.
