The official website for the Anime Expo convention announced on Friday that it will host Street Fighter game series executive producer Yoshinori Ono and Nekopara illustrator and creator Sayori at this year's event.
Ono has more than 25 years of experience at CAPCOM, and he has worked on such franchises as Onimusha and Monster Hunter in addition to Street Fighter. He will participate in a panel and autograph sessions at the event.
Sayori will attend the event for Sekai Project as part of a premiere of the television anime adaptation of Neko Works' Nekopara game series. A panel on July 6 will screen the show's first episode with Sayori and a "special guest" in attendance. Sayori will also have autograph sessions.
This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to July 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will also hold an audition with the show's staff for an English-speaking role in one episode of the upcoming Shikizakura television anime. Other guests include actor Ryō Kitamura, manga creator Bisco Hatori, Love Live! Sunshine!!'s Aqours group (without Arisa Komiya), singer Kanako Ito, composer Yoshihiro Ike, artist Utako Yukihiro, illustrator Hao, voice actresses Saya Horigome and Asuka Itou, and producers Hiroyuki Ōmori and Takamitsu Sueyoshi.
Sentai Filmworks will host a premiere of the Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love Kingdom anime film during the event.
