New manga launches on September 6

The September issue of Shodensha's Feel Young magazine revealed on Thursday that Moyoco Anno will launch a sequel to her Happy Mania manga titled Go Happy Mania. The new manga will debut in the magazine's next issue on September 6.

Anno previously published a one-shot sequel chapter to the manga in Feel Young in July 2017. In that chapter, Shigeta and Takahashi are married but are approaching a divorce crisis.

The original manga ran from 1995 to 2001 in Feel Young. Tokyopop published all 11 volumes in English, and described the story:

Shigeta is an attractive and "physically active" female looking for her soulmate in all the wrong places. In this day and age, love is a game people play to gain an advantage over others. Sincerity and honesty are often thrown by the wayside in an effort to get to the top. However, there are those - like Shigeta - who still look for true love in spite of it all.

Viz Media published Anno's Flowers and Bees manga in North America, Del Rey published her Sugar Sugar Rune manga, and Vertical published her Sakuran manga. Anno also designed characters for her husband Hideaki Anno's Cutie Honey live-action film adaptation, which Bandai Entertainment released on DVD.

The Japan Anima(tor)'s Exhibition's (Japan Animator Expo) project released an anime short adaptation of Anno's Bikachō Shinshi Kaikoroku (Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen) manga in 2015.
