AnimEigo revealed on Bluesky on Friday that it has found the English dub for the entire Looking for the Full Moon (Full Moon wo Sagashite) anime. Previously, Viz Media only released part of the anime on DVD in 2005 and 2006. The English dub for episodes 29-52 has not been released before.

The company's website is listing the first Blu-ray Disc featuring the first 26 episodes of the anime for release on August 12. The first Blu-ray Disc is available for pre-order now. The release will include English and Japanese audio and English subtitles.

The company describes the anime:

Based on Arina Tanemura's classic shoujo manga. 12-year-old Mitsuki wants to be a singer. Unfortunately, she has cancer, and can't sing above a whisper. One day, two “death gods” appear and inform her she only has one year left to live. So, in order to make her dream come true, they'll transform her… into a real idol singer.

AnimEigo announced the release at its industry panel at Otakon on August 3. The release will ship in two Blu-ray Disc sets, with two discs in each set. The second set's release date is not yet announced. All 52 episodes will be released on HD, remastered using the AstroRes method.

This will be the first time the anime will have a complete English release.

Toshiyuki Kato directed the anime at Studio DEEN.

Arina Tanemura published the original seven-volume manga from 2001-2004 in Shueisha's Ribon magazine. Viz Media released the manga in English.

Update: The English dub for episodes 29-52 has not been released before, not 28-52 as previously reported.
