Pac-Man Marks Anniversaries with Maruchan Ramen … & Gundam
posted on by Ken Iikura-Gross
Instant ramen brand Maruchan and video game icon (in every sense of the term) Pac-Man announced on Tuesday that they have partnered in celebration of Pac-Man's 45th anniversary. Maruchan will release a limited-edition Maruchan Instant Lunch Chicken flavor featuring Pac-Man packaging. The limited-edition packaging is set to replace that flavor's standard packaging at all stores where it is available.

Pac-Man and Maruchan marked the occasion with a series of videos. The first video sees Pac-Man converting the background of a standard Pac-Man level into an image of the chicken ramen flavor. The second video finds Pac-Man eating vegetables on inspired Pac-Man level inspired by the ramen.
As of press time Maruchan has not announced when the limited-edition Pac-Man packaging will be available.
In other news, the Bandai Namco Group released a visual of Pac-Man chasing an even older icon: the RX-78-2 Gundam from the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime. The visual commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Bandai Namco Group.
