Turkey! Anime Posts New Title, Video, Visual, More Cast After Plot Twist

Pony Canyon and Bakken Record revealed a new title, second full promotional video, third key visual, and additional cast members for their original anime Turkey! on Wednesday. The anime's new title is Turkey!-Time to Strike-, while the new video, visual, and cast members all relate to a plot twist at the end of the first episode:

The following contains spoilers, so please highlight the white text to read: [While the anime was previously advertised as centering on girls doing bowling, and the first episode largely adhered to that concept, the ending of the first episode sees the girls time traveling to Sengoku (Warring States) era Japan, and interacting with the Tokura clan.]

The tagline on the visual reads, "Let's all go home together, ok?"

Pony Canyon's new description of the anime now reads:

The story is set at the bowling club of Ikkokukan High School in Nagano Prefecture. Mai, the club captain, values having fun with everyone over winning. But her junior, Rina, pushes back, saying, “I want to win.” When Rina threatens to quit the club, Mai tries to talk her down—but Rina challenges her to a one-game match. Suddenly, the bowling ball begins to glow, and the five club members are enveloped in a mysterious light…When they wake up—They've somehow time traveled to the Sengoku era!? A completely original anime blending bowling and time travel, Turkey!-Time to Strike- [streaming worldwide]!

The anime premiered in Japan on Tuesday, April 8 at 25:29 (effectively July 9 at 1:29 a.m.) on NTV. The series will then premiere on BS NTV on July 10 and TV Shinshu on July 12. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.

The cast includes:

Susumu Kudo (Momentary Lily, Cinderella Nine, The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today) is directing the anime. Naomi Hiruta (live-action Seiho Boys' High School!, A Devil and Her Love Song) is scripting the anime, and Airi Takekawa ("Ippon" Again!) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director. Pony Canyon is in charge of music production, and Bakken Record is in charge of animation.

The above video reveals and previews the opening theme song The five main cast members of the series are perform the opening song "'Hyakunichisou" under the moniker "Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club, Nagano Prefecture."

The anime will be set in Chikuma City in Nagano Prefecture.
