Ugoku! Neko Mukashi Banashi Anime Reveals 2 More Guest Voice Actors

Long Coat Daddy comedy duo's Tōru Dōmae, Usagi to appear in guest roles in October 15 anime

Kadokawa announced on Wednesday that comedy duo Long Coat Daddy members (and self-professed cat fans) Tōru Dōmae and Usagi will appear as guest voice actors in Ugoku! Neko Mukashi Banashi (Move! Cat Folktales), the web anime of Pandania's Neko Mukashi Banashi (Cat Folktales) four-panel manga.

The staff also announced that Cross Shinjuku Vision, the giant curved screen on a street corner near Tokyo's Shinjuku station that  debutedits realistic illusion of three-dimensional imagery with a cat video, began screening promotional footage from the anime on Wednesday for one week.

Kadokawa previously announced Snow Man idol group member Daisuke Sakuma, and Yūjirō Shirakawa of the boy band Junretsu as guest voice actors for the anime.

The anime will debut on October 15 at 8:00 p.m. JST on its official YouTube channel. New episodes will stream every Wednesday. 

The anime will star:

Kazumi Nonaka (Hana KappaMameushi-kunHappy Happy Clover) is directing the anime at Studio CometKenichi Yamashita (HensukiMF Ghost two seasons, The tale of outcasts) is in charge of series scripts, and Narumi Shimoji (Charanpo Land no BōkenRinshi!! Ekoda-chan) is designing the characters.

The cute comedy manga and anime take children's stories and folktales from all around the world and asks, "What if a cat appeared in this story?"

Kadokawa has so far published three volumes for the manga: Neko Mukashi BanashiNyanto! Neko Mukashi Banashi, and Mikke! Neko Mukashi Banashi. Kadokawa will release the fourth volume Yo! Neko Mukashi Banashi on October 16.

Pandania is known for many other manga involving cats, such as Cats With JobsThe Evil Secret Society of CatsYokai Cats, and Monster Cats. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing all four manga in English.

Dark Horse Comics is releasing Pandania's Cthulhu Cat manga in English.
