CHS Otaku Fest Back for it's Third Year

Ellicott City, MD September 12th, 2010 – Centennial High School Anime Club is pleased to announce that CHS Otaku Fest, the club's very own anime convention, is back. The convention will take place on April 9th, 2011 at Centennial High School.

This one day convention is a celebration of all things anime and otaku. Our activities will include 1) Anime and Japanese movie screening 2) Discussion panels and workshops hosted by fans 3)Masquerade & Costume Contest 5)AMV contest 6)Dealer's Room 7)Artist Alley 8)Video Game room and tournament 9) Karaoke Cafe 10) Crazy Otaku Challenges (i.e. Ramen Eating Contest) 11)Manga Library. Other events will be announced over time.

About the Centennial High Anime Club and CHS Otaku Fest: This organization is an entirely high school based club with about 35 active members. The club has been an establishment in the school since 2005 and is gaining membership annually. It is a place for otaku to gather and meet while relaxing and discussing anime and the community at large. CHS Otaku Fest is the club's way of giving back to the otaku community by hosting an awesome event in celebration of all things anime and otaku. This is the third year the club has hosted the CHS Otaku Fest convention and the club is looking forward to making this one even better than in the past.

Registration fee: $10 before 12/20/10 and $15 after. At-the-door registration is $20. There is a $3 discount to groups of 10 or more ($7 per person before 12/20/10 and $12 after 12/20/10).
