New Fighting System: “Overdrive” is a new system that enhances strength but also alters different properties specifically for each character! Jin's attacks freeze opponents, the speed of Noel's drive moves is increased, and Bullet remains in permanent “heat up” while in overdrive. The lower your health, the longer Overdrive will last, and the game timer even freezes while it's active! Overdrive brings an intense conclusion to the matches of the already almost-too-intense BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma!
- Five new characters join the cast to bring an even more unique flair (as if it needed that!). Amane Nishiki, Bullet, Azrael, Izayoi, and Kagura Mutsuki all manage to bring even more variety to the BlazBlue universe!
- Two additional characters, Yuuki Terumi and Kokonoe, are available for download! These characters are a cross-buy, so if you've already bought them for PlayStation®3, you have them on PlayStation®Vita as well! With these two new fighters, the roster has climbed to an astounding 26!
- A story summary conveniently updates players on the epic action of the BlazBlue universe!
- Head to the beach with the BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma cast in the all-new beach scenario, exclusive to the PlayStation®Vita!

- Crush Trigger is a new move that allows players to use a small amount of their Heat Gauge to attempt to knock an opponent out of their defensive stance.
- Character sprites have been newly redrawn for BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, and characters' movesets have been tweaked; some to the point of feeling almost new!
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will have a patch available to improve story mode, highlander assault mode, and to rebalance characters.
