Official Hatsune Miku Virtual Amusement Park "Miku Land β Snow World 2021" Details Announced ~to Be Opened in Virtual Cast During Feb. 6th-7th~

Tokyo, JP (February 5th, 2021) - Virtual Cast, Inc. (https://corp.virtualcast.jp/) and Gugenka Inc. (https://Gugenka.jp/) have announced details for MIKU LAND β SNOW WORLD 2021, a virtual amusement park dedicated to the virtual singer Hatsune Miku. The world is slated to open this winter from February 6th (Sat.) - 7th (Sun.) and users worldwide can visit via the VR live communication service Virtual Cast or the AR app HoloModels (free admission).

MIKU LAND is a futuristic Hatsune Miku themed amusement park in virtual reality hosted on Virtual Cast, a live VR communication service operated by Virtual Cast, Inc. Following the MIKU LAND GATE β (https://mikuland.com/2020/en.html), which opened for a limited time in August 2020, its updated version MIKU LAND β SNOW WORLD 2021 will open from February 6th-7th, 2021. The latest installment introduces a winter-themed area called Snow Globe Illumination which features whole new attractions and immersive VR activities enjoyable for Miku fans and VR enthusiasts alike.

■Activities at Snow Globe Illumination

- Sky Night Walk

Sky Night walk is a walk-through attraction that takes visitors on a scenic tour around the Snow Globe Illumination – an area inspired by fantastic night views of Hokkaido (Japan) coupled with special visual effects.

- VR Snowball Fights

Visitors can enjoy action-packed VR snowball fights by wearing Snowball Fight Gloves – a new virtual item which enables users to create and throw snowballs from their avatar's hands. For a more full-fledged snowball fight with multiple players, visitors can also use the dedicated snowball fight stage equipped with snow forts.

- Character Meet-and-Greet

At the central plaza, visitors can meet-and-greet popular characters such as Hatsune Miku and enjoy taking group selfies.

- Piapro Snow Sculpture Exhibition

Selected entries for the Piapro Fan Snow Sculpture Contest (application closed) will be displayed inside the venue. Visitors can check out unique virtual snow sculptures skillfully designed by users.

■Merchandise

MIKU LAND offers a wide variety of event-exclusive physical and virtual merchandise - many of which can be used on the spot without having to logout.

Among the list of merchandise includes: Snowball Fight Gloves, Yukine Rabbit-themed VR drones which visitors can use to fly around the area, and portable rhythm game machines (3 tracks included : Melancholic, Day & Night and the Miku Land theme song Happy Coaster) which was originally a built-in attraction at the previous Miku Land.

There are also many variants for the popular digital figurines – such as the poseable life-size Snow Miku (2021 Ver.) figure and plushie-sized Hatsune Miku and Shinonome Megu figures which visitors can use to decorate their personal space. Some merchandise sold at the previous MIKU LAND will also be available.

■Collaboration with Sapporo Snow Festival 2021

MIKU LAND will be collaborating with the Sapporo Snow Festival 2021 (https://online.snowfes.com/en/) – one of the largest winter festivals in Japan famous for its massive snow sculptures and winter-themed attractions (due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, Sapporo Snow Festival 2021 will be held online).

During the event period, a virtual replica of Sapporo Snow Festival's Snow Miku snow sculpture will be displayed inside the Snow Globe Illumination area for all to see. Additionally, the shop area inside Snow Globe Illumination will showcase pictures of other snow sculptures displayed at the Sapporo Snow Festival.
