2023 Guest Announcement

COLUMBUS, OHIO - JUNE 22, 2023 - Matsuricon is pleased to announce three more incredible guests for our upcoming convention Into Another World: Ricco Fajardo, NANO, & Tony Oliver!

Ricco Fajardo is an actor whose performances have been seen in many ways: on stage, film, commercials, industrials, voice-over, animation, motion-capture. If it involves the body and voice, he's done it! Known locally for his indie film work, folks abroad know him best for his roles in anime and video games. Most recent credits include Tomo's best bud Jun in Tomo-chan Is a Girl!, the enigmatic Kotaro in Zombie Land Saga, the loveable Mirio in My Hero Academia, the fearsome Benimaru in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, the party loving priest Pandreo in Fire Emblem: Engage, and the egoist striker Isagi in Blue Lock. An avid gamer and watcher of anime and movies, Ricco loves cats and being physically active. He is originally from San Jose, California and resides in Dallas, Texas.

Born in New York, United States, NANO is an English-Japanese bilingual singer with powerful vocal talent who began her career in 2010 posting song cover videos to YouTube and other video sites. Her first album release, “NANOir” came in March 2021 and the album cracked the top 10 of the Oricon Daily Rankings in Japan: a rarity for brand-new artists. Her third album, “Rock on.” came in at 4th on the Oricon rankings in 2015, cementing NANO's place in the J-Pop scene.

In March 2013, NANO's first live concert “Remember your color.” was held at Shin-Kiba Studio Coast in Tokyo, which sold out 2500 tickets within the first day of ticket sales. Since then, NANO has conducted tours within Japan, as well as solo concerts overseas. In May 2018, NANO held her first concert in her native America and gave an outstanding performance for a packed crowd of 2800.

NANO's original content has generated over 100,000,000 views on YouTube, and her online live concert in 2020 was viewed both within Japan as well as 23 nations and regions around the world. NANO's popularity continues to grow, with a voice that knows no borders. Connect with her on Twitter @nanonano_me and YouTube @Nano_official.

Tony Oliver began his career as an actor on stage and camera performing in several feature films and dozens of plays. He found success as a voice artist, lending his voice to one of the first Anime features to a receive wide US television release – “The Sea Prince and the Fire Child”. His first foray into series television was as the voice of Rick Hunter in the groundbreaking anime series Robotech. Following that, he turned his attention to writing, but continued his voice acting career. In 1988, he joined Saban Entertainment as a story editor where he wrote and co-produced an award-winning adaptation of “The Jungle Book”. Tony was then tapped to help create a new kind of children's television show. The result was the mega hit, “The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”. He served as the development producer and head writer and also wrote the pilot, co-produced the series, directed the voice actors, played the voice of Saba, and produced and directed the Power Rangers live appearance at Universal Studios. Tony continues to develop, produce, direct, and act in stage and voice work.
