"MUTSU NO HANA“ with Their Signature High-tone Vocals and Technical Sound!
TOKYO, JAPAN – 16 December 2024 – Matenrou Opera, a legendary visual kei metal band representing Japan's music prowess, is set to release their new album "MUTSU NO HANA-" on 18 December, 2024. The band, known for their unparalleled high-tone vocals and technically intricate soundscapes, has recently unveiled the music video for “BLOOD". This track combines death metal's blast beat intensity with traditional Japanese melodies, offering a glimpse into the album's unique flair.

The new album artfully interweaves Matenrou Opera's distinctive universe, blending the raw power of heavy metal with emotive melodies. Fans will be thrilled to find 13 tracks, including the commemorative single "Suiyoku no Waltz / Apocalypse"—previously distributed to attendees of the "16th Anniversary Live - Suigyoku no Waltz" concert in May 2023—and "Yami o Hamu," the theme song for the voice drama "Magatsu Note Season:3." Also featured is the pre-release single "Yoake wa Yuki to Tomo ni.”
The music is now available on various music streaming platforms.
Kicking off the new year, Matenrou Opera will embark on a nationwide tour starting in February 2025, featuring 18 shows across 16 cities, bringing their spectacular live experience to fans across Japan.

Matenrou Opera is a five-member rock band formed in 2007, known for its unique worldview that sets it apart from other bands. Since its inception, they have embraced the theme of blending "skyscraper" and "opera," captivating fans with a musical style that combines modern elements with the traditional beauty of Japan.
Influenced by visual kei and heavy metal, yet not confined by these genres, Matenrou Opera has mesmerized music fans both in Japan and internationally with their innovative sound. In 2010, they achieved major debut status with King Records, succeeding in large-scale venues such as Zepp Tokyo and Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, further solidifying their popularity.
With the current lineup established in 2022, their musical expression has evolved even further. Continuously embracing new challenges, they are set to perform their second concert at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall in the summer of 2025, much to the anticipation of their many fans.
