Jazz music is much the stars as the main cast in this story about teens who become friends in late 1960s Japan. Great sounds and good character development bolster what is otherwise a fairly pedestrian character drama.

Though this volume is thin on plot, it's still a top-rate production and a perfect example of a series where all the show's elements combine together to further its disconcerting tone. Another solid entry in one of the year's best series.
