Japan's Animation Blu-ray Disc Ranking, June 21-27

Angel Beats!, Railgun, Darker than Black, Hidamari Sketch debut in top 5 with Eva

Oricon Communications reports that the first Blu-ray Disc volume of the Angel Beats! television anime series sold 23,000 copies during the June 21-27 week to top the Blu-ray Disc sales chart. It is the first new #1 Blu-ray release after Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance (Evangelion Shin Gekijōban: Ha) held the top spot for four straight weeks. Evangelion only sold 6,000 more copies this past week and dropped to #4 on the weekly chart.
