Dallas' Anime Fest to Host New Lupin III's Director Sayo Yamamoto

The organizers of AnimeFest 2012 announced on Tuesday that director Sayo Yamamoto will appear as a guest of honor at this year's convention.
Sayo Yamamoto directed the latest addition to the Lupin III franchise, Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. She also directed Michiko and Hatchin and worked as an episode director on Samurai Champloo, Texhnolyze, Eureka Seven, and Ergo Proxy.
AnimeFest 2012 will run from August 31 to September 3 at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas, Texas. AnimeFest 2012 will also host scriptwriter Dai Sato (Eureka Seven, Cowboy Bebop), animation director Yoshimitsu Yamashita (Kids on the Slope, House of Five Leaves), director Kōji Morimoto (Akira, City Hunter), animator Tatsuyuki Tanaka (Akira, Bubblegum Crisis), manga creator Arina Tanemura (Full Moon o Sagashite, The Gentlemen's Alliance†).
