Go! Princess Precure!!! Film Casts Junichi Suwabe, Ryusei Nakao as Villains

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
3-part film opens in Japan on October 31

The staff of the upcoming Eiga Go! Princess Precure Go! Go!! Gōka 3-bon Date!!! (Go! Princess Precure: Go! Go!! Grand 3-Part Movie!!!) film announced the new villain characters for the "Pumpkin Ōkoku no Takaramono" (The Pumpkin Kingdom's Treasure) and "Precure to Refi no Wonder Night!" (Precure and Refi's Wonder Night!) parts of the film on Friday.

Junichi Suwabe (The Prince of Tennis' Keigo Atobe, Kuroko's Basketball's Daiki Aomine) plays Worp (left) in "Pumpkin Ōkoku no Takaramono." He is a mysterious man who suddenly arrives at the Pumpkin Kingdom and takes the position of prime minister.

Ryusei Nakao (Dragon Ball Z's Freeza, Soreike! Anpanman's Baikinman) plays Night Pumpkin (right) in "Precure to Refi no Wonder Night!" He is a villain who steals the daytime from the Pump Kingdom, and causes it to descend into grief.

The staff previously announced the cast for the "Pumpkin Ōkoku no Takaramono" part last Friday.

Kana Hanazawa (Psycho-Pass' Akane Tsunemori, Tokyo Ghoul's Rize Kamishiro) as Princess Pampururu

Cho (Yuuichi Nagashima) (One Piece's Brook, Yamato 2199's Analyzer) as the King

Kaori Yamagata (Katanagatari's Oshidori, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!'s Anakondi) as the Queen

The heroine of each of the three film parts will perform a song within the story. Hanazawa will perform a song for the first part "Pumpkin Ōkoku no Takaramono." 11-year old Hinata Uegaki (young Nala in Shiki Theatre Company's Osaka stage production of The Lion King and the winner of Kanjani no Shiwake Eight's "Musical Kids No. 1" competition) — who plays Princess Refi in the second part "Precure to Refi no Wonder Night!" in her first voice acting role — will perform a song for the second part.

The film will be the magical girl franchise's first to have three parts. Since the film will open on October 31 on Halloween, each of the three parts will have a Halloween theme. Producer Takashi Washio described the three parts as "an emotional epic adventure of high stakes, a full-CG nonstop action story, and a full-CG SD character piece."

The movie's official website previously streamed a trailer for the film in July.

"Pumpkin Ōkoku no Takaramono" (The Pumpkin Kingdom's Treasure) will be a cel-style anime in which the Precure girls set off to rescue a kidnapped princess. The story begins when Haruka and her friends are wrapped in a mysterious light and travel to the Pumpkin Kingdom.

Musical duo Every Little Thing (Inuyasha, Initial D: Third Stage, Pokémon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram) will contribute the theme song for the "Pumpkin Ōkoku no Takaramono" movie.

"Precure to Refi no Wonder Night!" (Precure and Refi's Wonder Night!) will be a full-CG anime. In this story, the Pump Kingdom lost its daytime, and the Precure girls fight alongside the kingdom's Princess Refi to take it back.

Finally, the "Cure Flora to Itazura Kagami" (Cure Flora and the Vain Mirror) CG anime will be the franchise's first short story with no dialogue. The part will feature super-deformed characters. Cure Flora (as a CG character) will interact with a playful spirit who dwells within a mirror.

Go! Princess Precure, the 12th Precure television anime series, premiered in February. The most recent Precure film, Eiga Precure All Stars: Haru no Carnival (Precure All Stars the Movie: Spring Carnival), opened on March 14.
