If we watched the first episode or two and found it unbearable, we have given it a chance, and found we could endure no more. That is not judging a book be its cover, that is judging a book by the first few chapters, and Queen's Blade makes it clear from the outset what it intends to be. No need to get sanctimonious defending such low-brow fare.
You'll never know.........if you don't watch the rest of the show.I'm surely not going to explain every damn episode to you.Go check out episode 3 and through 11.It's better than the first two episodes.

I'm sorry.I'm enjoying myself. If you don't like nudity that's fine.I don't get hung up or bent out of shape from seeing it.Why question me? Actually why are you posting in this thread if you don't like the series?

The people in this thread like taking little pop shots at Queens Blade and I'm not going to sit around, and read forum-goer nonsense from nooby fans that have only seen two episodes, bash a series with a sequel coming that I happen to like.Shit ain't going to happen. Evil or Very Mad

And yes,I'm down with that PSP game as well. Very Happy

The point. --------------------------------------------------> You.

Readability. Visual ease of seeing the separation of words. Some people have bad eyesight. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GRAMMAR/SENTENCE STRUCTURE!

if Ah, My Buddha is any indication, MB may have the highest chance.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see this licensed over here, either my MB, Nozomi, or even Funi (they tend to get some surprising series here and there).

Season 2 needs some more Nyx and Ymir (some people find her annoying, but I like her) as well. Here's hoping for the best.

with that amount and over the top fanservice, there's no i'm seeing funi holding the license which is why i'd say MB will get the license which unfortunately will mean no dub versions.Cause it seems that every popular series MB license has sub only versions.it's become a Co every dubber fears now including myself.

I tried again, now up to episode 4. Episode 3 is just like episode 1, except Reina manages to not wet herself, but still loses to a creepy villain. Also, there is mud wrestling. The quality isn't as godawful as I remember episode 1 being, but the style and tone are the same. The "It gets better" argument doesn't work if there's no difference.

When did I say I don't like nudity? I said that the fanservice wasn't good. Also, I'm posting in this tread because I'm bored, and it's fun (and easy) to ridicule Queen's Blade.

Like with the continuity errors. For instance, episode 2. The girl with the horned headband is at the shrine one minute, then the next, it's being attacked and is burning while she is miles away in a forest fighting some random baddy.
Episode 3, the second mud wrestling match is abruptly ended for no discernible reason, and the spectators are all driven out by an angry Echidna, who then returns to finish beating up Reina.
Episode 4, Reina and Claudette are fighting in the woods. At the end of the fight, Reina gets knocked into a tree. Claudette has a flashback. When they return to present, Reina is on the edge of a massive chasm.

That is why I originally stopped watching, because the series barely has internal consistency. If I wantet porn, I could find porn (and of those particular characters; there's plenty of Queen's Blade doujinshi). If I wanted generic, cliched fighting, I could find generic cliched fighting that has better action scenes.

I'm no more nooby than you are. Don't waste people's time with ad hominem attacks.

Punctuality? Are you saying you have a problem with time keeping as well as with punctuation, grammar and syntax?

My sincere apologies to the hardcore forum nerds I'm having to deal with here. Very Happy I like watching you squirm after reading my poorly composed sentences.

Laughing Uh-huh.Keep going. You still have seven episodes to go before you can form a better opinion about Queens Blade.Especially since there are main characters you haven't seen yet.

The actual story leads into a second season after all.

So you're doing that on purpose to troll people then? Because that's the kind of behavior I'd be happy to boot you out of here for.

You said fans, so I assumed you meant nooby anime fans, as I am clearly not a fan of Queen's Blade. After four episodes, I am not impressed. If I do not like a show after an hour and a half, I have given it a fair chance. Would you like me to continue the series, so I can continue to cite specific examples of how I find it failing? Like (episode 4 again) Risty and Reina both have a paralyzing phobia of snakes, but only while they are directly in front of them? For such a level of fear, they recovered quickly, but neither noticed the snake returning to its owner, who walked within feet of them, and who had just stolen a coin purse that was resting against Risty's bare leg.

There is a chance that the poor-by-fansub-standard translation is harming my understanding of the series, but I have yet to see any evidence that Risty, Reina, or Claudette have any particularly original plot element in their backstories. I will hold off judging Tomoe and her friend as they haven't been given time to develop their past. I'm having trouble at times taking this series seriously, because while Risty sensibly advises Reina not to choose a white cloak because she'll stand out more, the logic behind it is undermined by the distinctive chainmail bikinis all of the prominent females (except the miko) wear.

As for the plot leading into a second season, that's beside the point that the primary purpose of the series is to display under dressed and undressed busty woman battling each other with incredible, and often supernatural, might. I maintain that I find both of those aspects underwhelming, as I am not particularly enamored with the character designs (Reina's babyface on her body I find especially disconcerting), nor are the action sequences at all impressive.

Are you SURE you watched the whole episodes, and not just random parts of them? Because just for you I went and watched that part of ep 4:
Due to Claudette's blow Reina's back hits the barrier the angel erected at the start of the fight. Then Reina gets hit by a lightning and loses the fight (though she claims that she can still fight). With the fight over the barrier collapses and Reina is left 'sitting' at the edge of the chasm.
Some comments by people that watched the fight.
Back to Reina and co: The patch of ground Reina is sitting on starts to collapse, but Claudette catches Reina before she falls down. Some exchange of words between the two.
THEN comes the flashback, and THEN Claudette lets go of Reina.

That is quite different from what you seem to have seen.

...Why am I wasting my time commenting on a series I have not seen past ep 4?...

I for one didn't appreciate why they were fighting in the first place. If they spoiler[really loved each other], the only point in continuing the fight between themselves was ostensibly to make both appear overly-aggressive and irrational. The fact that Reina spoiler[survives her fall] made the dramatic use of the spoiler['falling off a cliff' trope] somewhat cheap in retrospect.
I give some credit to the production staff for decent use of cutting in and around the flashback sequences however.

Yes, I did watch the whole episode, Mr./Ms. Condescension. I will admit, I misremembered the incident, and it isn't nearly so bad as I recalled; the chasm appears earlier than the moment it starts to break, and I mistook the opposite canyon wall as a tree because of the odd lighting. The view of the beginning of the fight, however, has no indication of any such sudden chasm (Reina didn't get knocked back that far).

My error also doesn't excuse the ridiculousness of the cause of the fight. Claudette's daddy issues are painfully cliche, and Reina continues to display her overwhelming idiocy by saying things which will aggravate Claudette's emotions. Why their father would favor the inferior child continues to boggle my mind. Furthermore, the angel in charge of the Queen's Blade fight displays a combination of Reina's incompetence and Claudette's desire to impress someone.

Also, the episode in general fails for skipping the brilliant opportunity to display Reina's mushroom induced hallucinations, and merely have her talk about them.
