Summer Pockets Reflection Blue Game Gets Stream Release in English on June 27

Updated version Summer Pockets game includes new playable characters, routes

Visual Arts/Key announced on its X/Twitter account on Monday that its Summer Pockets Reflection Blue game based on its Summer Pockets visual novel will launch for PC via Steam on June 27. The game will be available in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.

Players who have the original Summer Pockets game in their Steam library will be able to purchase the "Summer Pockets & Summer Pockets RB Bundle" with the cost of Summer Pockets discounted.

The Summer Pockets game originally launched for PC in June 2018 in Japan. Visual Arts/Key and Prototype launched the game's Nintendo Switch version digitally and physically in Japan in June 2019. The original game's English version launched for PC via Steam in February 2020.

Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE, an updated version of the game, launched for PC in Japan in June 2020. The new version has since launched on mobile devices, Switch, and PlayStation 4. The game includes new playable characters and new routes.

The game takes place in a rural district of a certain isolated island. The story focuses on "one nostalgic summer."

The television anime of Visual Arts/Key's Summer Pockets visual novel premiered on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 7, and on MBS and Shizuoka Broadcasting System on April 8. It also aired on AT-X on April 10, and on TV Setouchi on April 11. Crunchyroll streams the series as it airs in Japan.

wogura launched a manga adaptation titled Summer Pockets -Natsu no Takaramono- (Summer Pockets -Summer Treasures-) on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website on May 30.

A spinoff manga of the Summer Pockets franchise titled Summer Pockets Mugyu Days ~Tsumugi no Shima Sanpo~ (Summer Pockets Mugyu Days ~Tsumugi's Stroll in the Island~) also launched in Kadokawa's Dengeki Moeoh magazine and KadoComi website on February 28. Yūnon Nagayama, one of the game's original illustrators and character designers, is drawing the spinoff manga. Key is also credited for the original story.
