Voice Actress Aki Toyosaki Limits Activities After Death of Her Husband

Agency Music Ray'n Inc. announced on Friday that voice actress Aki Toyosaki is limiting her entertainment activities after the sudden death of her husband.

In July, Toyosaki's husband was rushed to a hospital after a subarachnoid hemorrhage, and died at the hospital. After consulting with Toyosaki, the agency and Toyosaki decided to limit part of her activities.

As a result, Toyosaki will not be performing with the group Sphere at the "Animelo Summer Live 2025 'ThanXX!'" event on August 30. Additionally, Toyosaki's planned appearance at the Kyoto Animation fan appreciation event on October 26 is under consideration.

The agency added Toyosaki is getting the support of specialized institutions, and is working toward resuming her activities as before in the future.

Toyosaki announced her marriage to someone who was not a celebrity or voice actor in October 2017.

Toyosaki debuted as a voice actress in 2006. Some of her roles include Momo Belia Deviluke in To Love Ru: Darkness, Yui Hirasawa in K-ON!, Akane Minagawa in Scum's Wish, Yunyun in KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!!, Chitose Ikeda in Yuruyuri, Aoi Inuyama in Laid-Back Camp, Izana Shinatos in Knights of Sidonia, Liselotte in Valvrave the Liberator, Caroline in PERSONA 5 the Animation, Kofuku in Noragami, and Kazari Uiharu in A Certain Scientific Railgun, among many others.

Some of the roles Toyosaki is playing this season or in upcoming seasons include: Niikura in CITY The Animation, Homura Momiji in Dr. Stone: Science Future, Xiao Yueqing in To Be Hero X, and Alyssa Malcius in The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King.
