posted on by Ken Iikura-Gross
The Seattle Mariners baseball team announced on September 3 that it will host a Super Mario Day event on September 14. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will take home a Super Mario x Mariners cap. An X (formerly Twitter) post shows Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodríguez and catcher Cal Raleigh sporting the limited-edition hat.

The official X/Twitter account for Nintendo of America reposted the announcement with Mario's iconic catchphrase "Let's-a go!"
The Seattle Mariners are set to face the Los Angeles Angels in the final game of their four-game series. The game will also host the Kids Round the Base post-game event, in which children 14-years-old and under can run the bases at the Seattle Mariners home stadium T-Mobile Park.
