CLAMP x Godiva Chocolates Lineup Revealed

Luxury chocolate brand Godiva Chocolatier revealed the key visual for its forthcoming CLAMP collaboration on Wednesday. The visual is an original piece by CLAMP and features several CLAMP characters in costumes inspired by Godiva's uniform: Hikaru Shido from Magic Knight Rayearth, Yuko Ichihara and Kimihiro Watanuki from xxxHOLiC, Chii from Chobits, and Sakura Kinomoto, Tomoyo Daidoji, and Syaoran Li from Cardcaptor Sakura. CLAMP mascot characters Mokona and Mokona Modoki make an appearance as well:

Godiva Chocolatier's Japanese website also revealed the collaboration's chocolate lineup. The lineup includes boxes of four or eight assorted chocolates, a collection gift bag, a set of ice cream within an insulated bag, and a drink-and-tumbler set. Three kinds of assorted chocolate box sets are currently available: the pre-order edition with gift bag and original sticker, the standard boxes, and boxes with gift bag. Prices for the CLAMP x Godiva collaboration items rage from 275 to 4,350 yen (about US$2 to US$30).

The chocolates included in the assorted boxes are a Sakura Kinomoto milk chocolate with strawberry filling; Tomoyo Daidoji, Syaoran Li, and Kimihiro Watanuki dark chocolates with dark chocolate ganache filling; Chii milk chocolate with vanilla-flavored filling; Yuko Ichihara dark chocolate with salt & dark chocolate ganache filling; Hikaru Shido milk chocolate with rose-flavored filling; Mokona white chocolate; Mokona Modoki milk chocolate; and white chocolate red heart with vanilla-flavored filling.

Pre-orders for the chocolates began on September 17, and the chocolates will go on sale on October 1.

CLAMP and Godiva Chocolatier announced the collaboration on August 7. During the announcement Godiva stated, “The protagonists of CLAMP's works, possessing the courage and love to break new ground, share a similar story of love and courage with Lady Godiva, the proud countess from whom the GODIVA brand is named.”
