Voice Actors Kensho Ono, Kana Hanazawa Divorce

Voice actors Kenshō Ono and Kana Hanazawa released a joint statement on Sunday to announce they have divorced. The two voice actors released the statement on their X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts with comments disabled. The statement reads:

To our colleagues and our fans,

We apologize for dealing with a personal matter, but after much discussion, we have decided to divorce.

Due to differences in our lifestyles, it became difficult for us to find time to spend together as a couple, and as we continued to drift apart, we decided to respect each other and go our separate ways.

We sincerely apologize for making this announcement to everyone who has warmly watched over and supported us as a couple until now.

We will continue to work harder than ever, so we ask for your continued support.

The couple had confirmed their relationship in 2017 after a report by the staff of Bungeishunju's Weekly Bunshun magazine. They then announced their marriage in 2020. Kenshō Ono and Kana Hanazawa's announcement on Sunday comes just over one year after the two voice actors shared what appeared to be a bowling date on their respective social media accounts.
