The historical fantasy-romance series Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has quickly risen to the top of Netflix's official Tudum rankings, claiming the No. 2 spot in the Global Non-English Shows category with 7.5 million views for the week of September 1-7. The show also ranked at #2 for the week of August 25-31, and at #4 for the week of August 18-24. The series debuted on August 23.

Based on the web novel/webtoon Surviving as the Chef of the Tyrant, the series follows Ji-young Yeon, a promising chef who wins France's top culinary competition. While fulfilling her late father's request, Ji-young (played by Girls' Generation member Yoon-a Lim) opens an old book titled "Mangwunrok" and is suddenly transported back to the Joseon dynasty.

There, she encounters Crown Prince Heon Yi (Chae-min Lee), who initially suspects Ji-young to be a mysterious sorceress. But after tasting her bibimbap, he brings her into the palace kitchens and appoints her as the head royal chef. Blending traditional Korean dishes with Western techniques, Ji-young begins to redefine the royal cuisine while navigating palace intrigue and romance.

The original web novel and webtoon versions of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty have not yet been officially translated into English, making the Netflix series the first global introduction to the story for many viewers.
