His and Her Circumstances Contest
Sponsored by The Right Stuf International, Anime News Network will be holding a "His and Her Circumstances" writing contest. We will be giving away 5 copies of TRSI's His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano) volume 1 DVD.
In order to enter, send us your true story about an incident involving "His and Her Circumstances". This is not an incident that involves the Anime title His and Her Circumstances, but rather a story about an event in your life that can be categorized under the broad category of "His and Her Circumstances."
The authors of the five stories that we find the most amusing to read will each receive a copy of His and Her Circumstances volume 1; of these five winners, the two most amusing will receive the DVD and the artbox, the other three will only receive the DVD.
Each Entry must be between 100 and 600 words and properly written; we will not nitpick minor grammatical issues but entries with no punctuation will be discarded. Any entry that does involve a sexual situation should not be more explicit than an R-14 movie would be.
Entries should be e-mailed to [email protected] and must be received no later than Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) April 15th, 2002. Contest winners will be announced by April 30th, 2002. Winning entries will be posted along with the winner's names; the winners will also be contacted by e-mail.
Your real name and mailing address must be submitted along with the entry, however if you do not want your entry posted with your real name you may also submit an alias or pseudonym, please include a comment regarding this if this is the case.
Any questions regarding this contest or the rules should be sent to [email protected] as we will not be checking the entries until April 16th.
Small Text: Anime News Network reserves the right to cancel this contest at any time (won't happen unless something drastic happens). Contest is open to any and all residents of the planet Earth, however prizes will only be shipped within the continental United States and Canada (So if you win, but you live in Antarctica, you have to arrange to have it sent to someone living in the appropriate area, and they can send it to you.) Contestant e-mail addresses will not be given out to any one and will be erased when the five winners have been confirmed, non-winners will not be contacted, spammed or harassed in any other way. We reserve the right to retroactively add new rules when and how we see fit.
