Anime Expo 2005
Anime Expo - Bandai Entertainment

by Mikhail Koulikov,
Representatives: Ken Iyadomi, Jerry Chu

Bandai Entertainment presented a video montage of new title releases to a packed panel room.

New licenses include Gundam Seed Destiny and Mai Hime. Bandai's other major project at this time is the 26-episode science fiction/racing series IGPX, which is being animated by Production I.G and co-produced by I.G and Cartoon Network. It is currently scheduled to begin airing on Cartoon Network's Toonami block on November 7. The IGPX voice cast features several Hollywood actors, including Mark Hamill (Batman, Star Wars), Haley Joel Osment (Sixth Sense), and Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious, Resident Evil).

Anime titles scheduled for release in the near future include the first volumes of Mars Daybreak, Panda Z, Fantastic Children, Eureka Seven and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG. Yukikaze volume 2, which will contain OVA episodes 3 and 4 will be released this fall as well. The last volume of the series will contain Episode 5 and the Mave-chan OAV special. The full-series limited edition box set of Zeta Gundam sold well enough to justify releasing the series on individual DVDs as well. Bandai will also translate and publish the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Official Log, a 128-page hardbound book of cast and staff interviews, storyboards and other content related to the series. The book will be accompanied by a 40-minute-long DVD containing various documentaries and extras.
