New Captain Tsubasa Anime Reveals Latest Character Visuals

The official Twitter account for the upcoming new Captain Tsubasa anime revealed the visuals for the recently announced new characters on Monday.

The new anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on April 2 at 1:35 a.m. (effectively April 3 morning), and on BS Japan on April 9 at 12:30 a.m. (effectively April 10 morning). The anime will also air on TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu.
Viz Media has licensed the anime. The license includes digital streaming, electronic sell-through (EST), home video, and merchandise rights for North America and Latin America.
The anime will retell the story of Yōichi Takahashi's 1981-1988 Captain Tsubasa manga from the beginning. The original soccer manga revolves around 11-year old Tsubasa Ōzora, a boy who loves soccer and is recognized by his coach Roberto due to his skill of the sport. Tsubasa goes with his coach to Brazil in order to train for the World Cup.
