Pokémon Mela Gives Away Keychains To Scratch Card Winners at Pune Event

Corporate officer at the company Susumu Fukunaga stated at the Pokémon Festivities event on October 16, “We want to take our events to many other cities and not just Tier 1 cities.”
The first Pokémon Mela event took place from November 17-19 at DLF Mall of India, Noida. It took place at DLF Avenue, Saket, New Delhi on December 2 and December 3, and at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi on December 8 and December 9. Mumbai had its Pokémon Mela from May 31 to June 2 at Phoenix Marketcity.
The events included Pikachu dance performances and parades, Quiz contests with giveaways and prizes, screenings of Pokémon animation videos, colouring activities, and a Pokémon photobooth. Participants of the photobooth activity had the opportunity to win enter a post-and-win giveaway for Pokémon plush toys. The events also included special Pokéstops for the Pokémon GO app.
The Pokémon Company previously stated that the Pokémon Mela is the first in a series of initiatives planned to enhance the presence of Pokémon in India. Fukunaga had stated the company wants “to create more and more opportunities to reach out to the audiences in India and find a place in their everyday life. We believe that on-ground events are key to fostering meaningful interactions with existing Pokémon fans, while carving a way to connect with new ones.”
