Plot Summary:
The Princess Flora is to be wed, on her birthday she entertains various suitors until she is approached by a man named Phoenix, who is actually a jewel thief after the diamond on her ring - "The Smile of the Amazon". When he insults the Princess, saying she wouldn't be so beautiful without the ring she drops said jewellery into the mouth of a fish and drops it out the window - declaring she will marry the man who returns it to her. The fish is found by Lily, the pet cat of a young waitress named Honey-Honey, Lily eats the fish and ring along with it. This sets in motion a globe-trotting adventure where Honey-Honey must keep her cat, at the ring away from suitors, Phoenix the thief, and the vain Princess Flora herself.
